UPDATE 23rd March 2020
Following the governments implementation of further restrictive measures I have an update on how it affects WIDO as a business and your orders.
The government issued the following advice regarding online retailers “Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal”
Whilst we are open, our team of Wido’ers are observing the social distancing guidelines and the majority of our office based staff are now working from home.
Our customer service team are working remotely and are dealing with a higher than normal number of enquiries. This means that our response time may be a little slower than we would like but we will get back to you. Please bear with us!
We will keep this page updated as the situation changes
Thanks again for your support.
To all our customers,
We want to take this time to firstly thank you for the continued support you have shown in recent weeks.
As a company, it is business as usual for the foreseeable future and we are ensuring our customers and employees are protected in this ever-evolving situation.
I would like to make you aware, at present, we are currently still meeting our ‘next working day delivery’ promise whilst we can and are working hard with our couriers, to do our utmost to get your order as expected.
Over the past few days our couriers have communicated their business contingencies ensuring they are striving to run the operations as normal. All our delivery partners have advised they have changed the way a ‘signed for’ service is completed. Until further notice, they will not require customers to touch the digital ePod or paperwork used. Instead drivers will log the name of the person taking receipt of delivery. Furthermore, our couriers will also ensure close contact is minimised so they will potentially place items outside reception areas and front doors and knock or call for attention before stepping away to a distance deemed safe to speak with you while the item is retrieved. Please keep this in mind on the day of your delivery.
Here at Wido, we are aware that the situation is changing daily, and we will continue to monitor it and make any changes necessary to ensure the safety of our staff, whilst keeping up with customer demand until we are forced to do otherwise.
We have taken precautions within our business to ensure that our staff are kept as safe as possible.
- Where possible, staff are working from home
- Hygiene measures have been increased across all our sites
- Staff have been briefed on the importance of personal hygiene, staying away when feeling unwell and following government advice in respect of this
Our customer service team is available to answer any questions about your experience, work with you on the best delivery option and provide more information on the many precautions we’re taking to protect your health and safety so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Thank you and Stay Safe!
The Team @ Wido
